TYPES OF CHILD CONTACT

A contact order determines which family members a child should have regular meetings with. CMCCC provides a wide range of services to accommodate parents and families. 


Most contact will involve the child meeting face-to-face with the relevant family member. This may be in the form of supervised or non-supervised meetings in our location or venues risk assessed by the staff team. Read below for information on the type of contact services we provide.

Supported Contact

  • This provision is suitable for families where no significant risk to the child or those around the child is identifiable. 
  • No reports necessary
  • Room can be shared with other families - Cost effective

Supervised Contact

  • This provision is suitable for families where there is mild to high significant risk to the child or those around the child is identifiable. 
  • Full reports are mandatory. 
  • Supervisor present at all times

Siblings Contact 

  • Separated siblings only 
  • No parental supervision
  • Sessions supervised by two CMCCC staff members 
  • Access to two rooms and shared spaces
  • Basic observation reports 
  • Ideal for families of 2 + Children

Contact in the Community

  • Sessions take place outside in the community i.e. cinema, play zone, restaurant 
  • Suitable for low - risk clients
  • Specialised risk assessment 
  • Supported by a volunteer or Staff member

HOW TO BOOK YOUR INITIAL CONTACT SESSION

Is this your first time booking a contact session with us? You're in safe hands!.

Registration is easy, just follow this three-step process:

Step 1: Download the referral and risk assessment forms

Step 2: Complete, sign the documents and send them back to cmccc@pcmc.org.uk or share them below on this website page.

Step 3: A member of the team will contact you to confirm your documents and pre-contact session.

EXTRA SERVICES
  • Court attendance - charged per hour
  • Zoom Pre-visit & facility tour 
  • Handovers for children will be taken off-site by non resident available
  • Transportation & escort for pick up & drop off - Available upon request

REFERALS

We accept referrals made through your Solicitor, social worker and private applications.

Fill out the referral form and send it back to us so that we can assess your needs.

We also need to know about you and your family before we can accept your request to use our Contact Centre.
